The Duplass brothers (The Puffy Chair, Baghead) shift into more mainstream territory with this comedy hit from the Toronto Film Festival, an insightful and thought-provoking drama of family relationships.
Thirty-something Jeff (Segel) still lives in his parents’ basement as he struggles to survive in the real world. Convinced that his destiny will be revealed to him by signs from the universe, an everyday errand to buy wood glue leads him to cross paths with his family in the strangest of locations and circumstances. As his brother (Helms) faces up to a failing marriage, it seems that Jeff may discover the meaning of his life after all.
“Sly and big-hearted, funny and moving.” Vanity Fair
Please note that on Fri 22 & Mon 25 Jun, the evening screenings have been moved to 9pm and will not begin at 8.50pm as previously advertised.
