Play in a Day - 2012

Thursday 16th February

Learning Lines

Planning and rehearsals are well underway already today for this evenings performance of Play in a Day, which this year will be Peter Pan. We have 50 children working together in the Butterworth Hall with our youth theatre leaders. They all arrived primed with bits of costume, props and ideas for the play and have spent the morning choosing roles, learning lines, blocking on stage and deciding on costumes followed by a well deserved break for lunch. This afternoon will see dress rehearsals (including face painting on a grand scale) final runthroughs with stage lighting and the performance itself. I cant wait – it looks set to be a great show. Here are some pictures of what they got up to this morning.
