Experience Warwick Arts Centre - Autumn Events Now On Sale
Saturday 07 July 2012
Take a little peek at our new Autumn Season – it’s brimming full of events to delight curious minds.
We welcome the return of Cornwall’s innovative theatre company Kneehigh with an adaptation of the BBC’s long-running sitcom Steptoe and Son – an opportunity Artistic Director Emma Rice has described as ‘the chance of a lifetime to dive into such an iconic and important body of work’. Following the poignant Lovesong last year, Frantic Assembly has collaborated with National Theatre of Scotland to create Beautiful Burnout, a heart-wrenching knockout production following five young boxers as they aim for the bright lights. With a stunning backdrop of glittering video screens and pulsating soundtrack from Underworld – it’s bound pack an almighty punch!
Space rock band Spiritualized come home to the Midlands led by Rugby lad Jason Pierce (J. Spaceman) and we also welcome Field Music, Seth Lakeman, Grizzly Bear, Danish band Efterklang with the Northern Sinfonia, The Proclaimers, and Patrick Wolf, to name a few. As always, our comedy season is brimming with the best-known names on the circuit – Jack Dee, Alan Davies, Tim Key, Jason Byrne, Rhod Gilbert, and many more!
Finally, for those with little ones in your life – tickets are selling fast for our Christmas show We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.
If you’re an Arts Centre regular then we want to welcome you back, and if you’ve never visited us before and fancy a great night out then we think you should give us a go! Don’t forget that our Performance Package offers up to 25% off tickets for multiple events to keep you coming back for more.
P.S. We hope you like our new magazine Experience featuring interviews with artists, ‘A Day in the Life of Warwick Arts Centre’ a word from our audiences (you never know, you might spot yourself!) and loads more. Take a look below, or pick one up from Warwick Arts Centre’s foyer.
