Opportunity for young actors
Wednesday 19 September 2012
To celebrate another year as part of the National Theatre’s Connections Festival, the Warwick Arts Centre Senior Youth Theatre is widening its age range, looking for more young actors and changing its name – to the Warwick Arts Centre Connections Company.
The Connections Festival is challenging, exciting, hard work and really good fun – and the Warwick Arts Centre Connections Company is thrilled to be part of it for the third year running. Every year, the National Theatre asks 10 playwrights to write new plays for young people to perform and hundreds of youth theatres and school groups perform these plays in their own spaces and in professional theatres. Warwick Arts Centre is one of those theatres and our Connections Festival is in May next year where 10 groups from as far afield as Oxford, Malvern and Nottinghamshire will come together for a whole weekend of performances, workshops, discussion and a party or two!
If you’re aged 14 – 19 and are really into acting and theatre, would like to perform on Warwick Arts Centre’s stages and are willing to commit to a very busy rehearsal schedule, email our Education Director, Brian Bishop.
