Monday 06 August 2012
Following a period of priority booking for our Concert Series Subscribers, our new season of classical music events are now on sale to the general public, offering you the chance to see some of the world’s most acclaimed musicians in our celebrated Butterworth Halll.
To kick of the Concert Series in style, we welcome the return of the CBSO conducted by the brilliant Andris Nelsons. Featuring a performance from virtuoso violinist Christian Tetzlaff for Brahms’ Violin Concerto, this promises to be a night of passion, conviction and flair.
Other concerts in the series will include the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra hailing from Coventry’s twin city, and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra featuring a dynamic performance from virtuoso pianist Natasha Paremski. In January, we welcome back the European Union Chamber Orchestra joined by the critically acclaimed violinist Tasmin Little for Mozart’s Fourth Violin Concerto. There will also be performances by the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra from Norway, and the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, performing an all-Russian programme!
We’ll be hosting concerts featuring stunning home-grown talent: Don’t miss the University of Warwick Music Director Paul McGrath conducting the Warwick University Chamber Choir and the English Chamber Orchestra in Mozart’s legendary Requiem. There will also be a series of concerts from our own musicians in residence, Coull Quartet, and local pianist Peter Donohoe will be delivering a special performance made up of music’s finest Opus Ones.
You can buy your tickets for all of these events now, and you can still take advantage of great discounts and offers by becoming a Concert Series Subscriber. Click here to find out more.
