Warwick Arts Centre theatre shows take home Edinburgh awards!
Tuesday 04 September 2012
There was high excitement at Warwick Arts Centre recently when it was announced that not one, but TWO of our co-produced shows had received prestigious awards at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Caroline Horton’s show Mess first came into being as a work in progress show through the Triggered@Warwick programme earlier this year. Now a fully-fledged performance, it wowed the critics and came away with the Best Ensemble Award from The Stage Awards for Acting Excellence. Keep an eye out for Mess returning to Warwick Arts Centre next summer!
This piece of very good news was swiftly followed by the announcement that our upcoming show Monkey Bars, by Chris Goode and Company was awarded a Fringe First Award, aimed at celebrating the best in new writing at the Edinburgh Fringe. It was a phenomenally successful festival run for the Monkey Bars team, as the show received rave reviews across the board. We’ve storified the best of these reviews below to give you an idea of what to expect when Monkey Bars comes to Warwick on Thu 4 & Fri 5 Oct. Make sure you book tickets now – it WILL sell out!
