Watch the Olympics at Warwick!
Monday 06 August 2012
It’s official – the nation has been gripped by Olympic fever, and with every new gold medal, we get a little more hooked! If you’re feeling afraid to leave the house for fear you might miss an important Olympic moment, then fear not! Here on campus at the University of Warwick, you can stay up to date with the latest sporting news, AND enjoy some fresh air, thanks to our large outdoor screen.
Currently in position on the piazza outside the Arts Centre and in front of the Students’ Union building, the big screen will be broadcasting the events in line with the BBC scheduling for the remainder of the Olympic Games. This means that in general, the big screen will be broadcasting between the hours of 8am – 10.30pm, with extended hours for the closing ceremony, which will be broadcast on Sun 12 Aug from 8.50pm until midnight.
So now you plan an evening out at Warwick Arts Centre, and not miss out on the Olympics buzz! Maybe factor in some screen time at piazza before or after you catch a film in our cinema? Either way, we look forward to seeing you out there for some more medals!
