We've been awarded Catalyst Funding
Thursday 17 May 2012
We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded £120,000 following an application to Arts Council England’s Catalyst Arts scheme.
Along with 353 arts organisations across England, Warwick Arts Centre made an application to the Arts Council’s Catalyst fundraising programme in February of this year, and can today reveal that it is one of the 173 successful organisations.
Alan Rivett, Director of Warwick Arts Centre, said:
“This award is a vote of confidence from Arts Council England in the Arts Centre’s high quality programme. Fundraising is an essential part of our activity and this award will help in our plans to make great art and extend our award-winning creative work in arts education”
Over the next three years the aim is to use the Catalyst Arts funding to support a new vibrant artistic programme through working with established and emerging artists, and to identify new and sustainable income sources in order to support Warwick Arts Centre’s future in developing more high quality commissioned work. The funds will also be used to generate further income to support our education programme at Warwick Arts Centre, developing this strand of work with artists and partnership schools in Coventry, Warwickshire, Solihull and elsewhere in the West Midlands.
There are going to be some exciting developments at Warwick Arts Centre – watch this space!
