Get your creativity flowing
Songwriting Workshops FREE (Tuesdays, 8pm)
Our songwriting workshops are back for the new year, welcoming people of all stages in their songwriting journey, whether you are just starting out or are looking to hone your skills. Refine your talents in one of these free workshops!
This Elders Dance Company welcomes people aged 60+ who love contemporary dance and performing, with classes leading up to the creation and performance of dance pieces.
Open Mic Night FREE (Thursdays, 6pm)
Returning for 2025 are our Open Mic Nights, which welcome all performers and gives you an opportunity to take the floor. You can pre-book via our website to guarantee a spot, or rock up on the night, so bring your friends and try out a new year’s resolution!
Adult Short Courses – Emily Hett (Tuesday 28 January, 4 February, and 11 February, from 6pm)
Try something new in 2025 and explore the wonderful process of ceramics! Join this Adult Short Course and learn hand-building techniques as well as slip and glaze application. This course is perfect for any beginner or those who want to extend their learning.
Exhibitions in Coventry this January
The Future is Today: Prints and the University of Warwick, 1965 to Now FREE (From 16January)
Artist Joseph Beuys noted that ‘prints are ideas in circulation’ and this is one of the inspirations for the founding of the University of Warwick Art Collection in 1965.
Visit the Mead Gallery this January to see this exhibition which celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Art Collection. The exhibition also contains a free, working print studio. If you’re looking to try something new in 2025, why not experiment with making your own monoprint inspired by the exhibition?

Aeschylus’ Agamemnon (Thu 30 – Fri 31 January)
Agamemnon takes place in the aftermath of the Greeks’ invasion of Troy, undertaken to recover Helen and loot the affluent city.
