After a twelve-year absence, successful writer Louis (Gaspard Ulliel) returns home with the intention of telling his hostile family that he is dying. Winner of the Grand Prix award at Cannes and based on Jean-Luc Lagarce’s play, this is an intense and divisive family drama.

Featuring an A-list of French stars and shot almost entirely in claustrophobic close-ups, this is not a happy family reunion.

“It’s only the end of the world is confrontational absurdism: A fascinating, sustained assault.” The Guardian
