We are delighted to bring back our weekly foyer programme of live jazz, hosted by The Aaron Moloney Trio plus special guest musicians.
As always, this event also features an open jam session for local musicians in the second half.

On the first Friday of every month we welcome special guest players to join the house trio and host the jam.
Fri 2 May – Rebecca Wing
Rebecca is saxophonist, vocalist and composer currently in her fourth year studying jazz at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where she is already an active member of the Birmingham jazz scene having performed at Symphony Hall, for Birmingham Jazz and debuting at the EFG London Jazz Festival in 2003. Rebecca’s influences are Adrianne Lenker, Myron Walden, Brian Blade amongst others.
Fri 6 June – Helen Gayle and Matt Ratcliffe
Helen is a London-based vocalist now based in the Midlands. Her vocal influences combine jazz, soul and blues. Pianist Matt Ratcliffe is a leading UK improviser and composer leading his own projects as well as performing with players such as Bryan Corbett and Xhosa Cole. Helen and Matt perform across the country and are also well known for their jazz arrangements of the Beatles Songbook.
