A sexy, sun-drenched romp with a hunky cast – and a very cute dog – The Summer with Carmen celebrates queer friendship.

While soaking up the sun at Athens’ gay beach, best friends Demos (Yorgos Tsiantoulas) and Nikitas (Andreas Labropoulos) brainstorm ideas for a screenplay. Recalling the lively events of the pivotal summer when Demos reluctantly broke up with his ex, Panos, and impulsively acquired a dog named Carmen, they fluidly revisit their past in hopes of turning it into a 'hero’s journey'. Zacharias Mavroeidis’s zesty comedy explores masculinity, sexuality, and catharsis through creativity.
