Join our family artists-in-residence every Sunday and spend time together as a family getting creative and having fun!
Over the two seasons we’ll explore visual arts processes, music and dance, responding to themes in our exhibition and live programme.
Our fantastic artists in residence for Spring 2025 Family Sundays are Polly Brant and Sipho Eric Ndlovu. Here’s a bit more about them and their exciting workshops:
Polly Brant’s Artist Bio:
Polly Brant is an artist-educator. Led by curiosity and reforming, she uses the process of meeting people, learning, and making to build connections. Polly is interested in art as a part of the every day and making a space for everyone. Through this, she explores what art education is, where it can happen, and its meaning within the community.
Swap, share, print and publish your ideas with artist-educator Polly Brant. Explore the themes within The Future is Today, including creativity, identity and home, through your own ideas. Then share them through the form of posters and zines, DIY inspired by publishing processes.

Sipho Eric Ndlovu’s Artist Bio:
Sipho Eric Ndlovu is a performance artist whose approach encourages accessibility & inclusivity in the arts. Experimental Spoken Word inspires current Poet Laureate of The University of Sheffield Social Sciences, Sipho, and has held stages at Mostly Jazz Festival, SoFar Sounds, BBC Radio 1xtra and will now be hosting inclusive & engaging works at Warwick Arts Centre.
Sipho will deliver a collection of family-friendly workshops exploring the possibilities of poetry for performance, creative documenting, and dance. These sessions will be engaging & accessible encouraging all who come to take part to explore the possibilities of words, their impact on ourselves and those around us, and how poetry can be a powerful playtool.

02/02/2025 - Polly Brant - EXPLORE and MAKE: Zine Workshop
Using the zines provided, explore The Future is Today through notetaking, doodling and drawing. Find artworks that inspire you, why do you find them interesting? What are the artworks all about? How do they make you feel? Discover and create your own Zine.
09/02/2025 - Polly Brant - CIRCULATE and SWAP: Poster Making
Swap, share, print and publish your ideas with artist-educator Polly Brant. Look around The Future is Today exhibition to see examples of posters and the use of text. What different messages are the artists sharing with us? How is print being used to make voices heard? Explore and design your poster.
16/02/2025 - Sipho Eric Ndlovu – Poet For A Day
This workshop will contain all the necessities to make you a poet in a day. Fun writing exercises, visual prompts, and opportunities to perform and practice your stage presence.

23/02/2025 - Sipho Eric Ndlovu – Do Poets Dance Too?
Join Sipho Eric Ndlovu in this creative workshop, where you will discover movement, fun writing exercises, visual prompts, and opportunities to perform and practice your stage presence. Explore the possibilities of words, their impact on ourselves and those around us, and how poetry can be a powerful playtool.
02/03/2025 - Polly Brant - PRINT and PUBLISH: Collaborative Publications

09/03/2025 - Sipho Eric Ndlovu – Spring Time Performances
