Join artist Julia O'Connell in the Mead Gallery for a relaxing and creative collective "Stitch-In" session, taking inspiration from the Material Worlds exhibition and her new commission A Quilt in the Making.
This event invites participants to explore the art of free-stitching, where stitching is used as a form of drawing and self-expression. Join us for a collective community gathering, to learn new techniques, share ideas, and enjoy the calming process of working with thread in a supportive and inspiring environment.
You are encouraged to bring a personal project you're already working on if you wish or you can start something fresh while you're here with the materials provided.
This event is designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of skill level and it is completely free to attend. No prior experience is required.
